Review of Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid

I have wanting to read this books since I picked up Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid. I just adore that woman. She writes fantastic books!

I know I promised this would be a seven part review, but can you really blame me for getting carried away? I mean it's Quinn and Jaine after all. ;)

The Blurb:

After just five months of dating Janie, Quinn—former Wendell and unapologetic autocrat—is ready to propose marriage.

In fact, he’s more than ready. If it were up to Quinn, he would efficiently propose, marry, and beget Janie with child all in the same day—thereby avoiding the drama and angst that accompanies the four stages of pre-matrimony: engagement, meeting the parents, bachelor/bachelorette party, and overblown, superfluous wedding day traditions. But Janie, much to Quinn’s dismay, tosses a wrench in his efficacious endeavors and challenges him to prove his devotion by going through the matrimonial motions, no matter how minute and mundane.
Will Quinn last until the wedding day? Or will he yield to his tyrant impulses?

Regardless, one thing is for certain, Quinn Sullivan will have to learn to expect the Spanish Inquisition (i.e. the unexpected) if he plans to have and keep Janie Morris as his wife.

My Review:

I loved Quinn and Jaine in the first book and I loved them here. There  are certainly many things I loved about this book. Those are:

  • Quinn's love for Jaine. She is energetic, damn intelligent and a talker and Quinn loves her because of these reasons, not despite of them.
  • Jaine's response to Quinn when he asks she finds him guilty. She didn't offer false assurances, but she gave her honest opinion and the soothed Quinn.
  • The Proposal. It was so Quinn and Jaine. Amazing, weird, amusing, humorous and so romantic.
  • Quinn's reunion with his parents. It was so emotional.
  • Quinn. Plain and Simply Quinn. Could the guy be anymore awesome!!?!
  • Elizabeth and Nico. I haven't read 'Friends without benefits' yet. So that's where I'm going nex!
If I don't stop now, I'll be going on and on! because this books was perfect!

My Rating:

I give this book an obvious 5 stars!!!

Chao!
